Who is the Academy suitable for?

The Academy has two routes. Foundation is designed for beginners and career changers, while Advanced is suited to students, graduates, junior designers and others with existing interior design knowledge.

How long does the programme take?

The programme lasts approximately six months and is divided into six connected phases covering the professional design process.

Is the programme online?

Yes, learning is delivered online through live teaching and professional studio critique sessions twice each week.

What will I work on?

You will work through realistic residential and commercial project scenarios covering areas such as briefing, space planning, concept development, materials, lighting, FF&E, budgeting and professional delivery.

Do I need AutoCAD experience?

Foundation students do not need previous professional software experience. Advanced students should already be confident producing scaled drawings and visual presentations using AutoCAD or an equivalent tool.

Do I receive a qualification?

Successful students receive a SOFIYA DESIGNS ACADEMY Certificate of Completion. This confirms completion of the six-month programme; it is not a degree or professionally accredited qualification.
