Frequently Asked Question

1. Who can join the interior design programmes?

There are two routes to choose from. Foundation is for complete beginners, career changers and aspiring designers. Advanced is for students, graduates, junior designers and those who already have interior design knowledge.

2. How long does the programme last?

Both programmes run for six months and cover six stages, taking you from the foundations of design through to portfolio and career preparation.

3. Is the programme taught online?

Yes, teaching takes place online through live sessions and professional studio critiques twice a week.

4. Do I need previous interior design experience?

No experience is needed for Foundation. Advanced students should already understand basic design principles and be comfortable with visual presentation and producing drawings to scale using AutoCAD or an equivalent.

5. Will I work on interior design projects?

Yes, the programme uses real project scenarios to help you understand how residential and commercial interiors are developed and delivered. You’ll work through different stages of the process rather than focusing only on theory.

6. Will I receive a qualification after completing the programme?

Students who complete the six-month programme receive a SOFIYA DESIGNS ACADEMY Certificate of Completion. This is not a degree or a professionally accredited qualification.
